Edith Hinds West, 97, of Cleveland Heights, who became the first woman member of the Cleveland Society of Chartered Financial Analysts in 1967, died Nov. 26.

West was born in Kent, graduated from Lakewood High School and Flora Stone Mather College and earned a master’s degree in finance and banking from what is now Case Western Reserve University.

Graveside services will take place Friday, Dec. 16, at Standing Rock Cemetery, 1361 North Mantua St., Kent.
