Residents of all communities can now attend the repair workshops at Home Repair Resource Center. This is the first time that our workshops will be open beyond Cleveland Heights.
Upcoming classes will include HRRC’s popular electrical and plumbing series. Reservations are required, and I would encourage early registration – especially for these series – as they can fill quickly. HRRC has kept workshop fees modest: $10 for Cleveland Heights residents and $15 for non-residents, with scholarships available to Cleveland Heights residents with low incomes.
As HRRC’s Repair Education Program Coordinator, I have seen how these classes give people an opportunity to get hands-on practice doing many common home repairs. Professional tradespersons willing to share their expertise serve as instructors, and most classes are held at HRRC’s Teaching Center, 2520 Noble Road, from 7 – 9 p.m. on Monday evenings.
For additional information, including the schedule of upcoming repair workshops, interested people can check HRRC’s web site, www.hrrc-ch.org, or call me at (216) 381-6100, ext. 16.
