12-Year-Old Scares Burglar Away: Police Blotter

The girl said she heard someone try to break into her home and that the suspect ran when he heard her voice.

 

A 12-year-old girl told her mother that someone tried to break into their home on the 900 block of Elbon Road at 9:45 a.m. May 25.

The woman told Cleveland Heights Police that her daughter said she heard noises on the first floor and the girl to investigate. When the suspect heard the child's voice, he fled, and she saw the window was open.

Child hit by mail truck on bike

Police responded to the 900 block of Rushleigh Road at 4:43 p.m. May 26 after someone reported that a U.S. Postal Service Truck struck a child riding a bike. EMS was contacted but the child was not injured, according to the report, and police did not issue a citation.

Woman reports shots fired on Summit Park Road

A woman told Cleveland Heights Police that she saw a man fire a gun into a car on Summit Park Road at 11:27 p.m. May 25. She said earlier there were two groups of men arguing. Police checked the area and did not find shell casings or hear other reports of gunfire.
