Cleveland Heights officially became a city in 1921. Cleveland Heights Patch is observing that 90th anniversary by compiling 90 photos to create an album of the city's past and present. We'll run the feature for 90 days, one photo at a time.

Since 1974, the residents of Rumson, Burlington and Blackmore roads have greeted nightfall on Christmas Eve by lighting the block with luminarias. They're low-tech: a plastic gallon milk jug with a plumbers candle. Although the residents are carrying on a tradition that dates back to 16th century Spain, they were introduced to the practice by Mary Weisenbach, who lived in the neighborhood. -Source: Forest Hill Homeowners newsletter
