Updated: Board Approves CHUH Superintendent, Treasurer Contract Extensions

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School Board approved a three-year contract for Doug Heuer, and a five-year contract for Scott Gainer

Superintendent Doug Heuer and Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer Scott Gainer's contracts were extended at Tuesday's Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School Board meeting.

Heuer, whose first school year with the district was in 2009-2010, will continue to lead the district from August 2012 until July 2015, according to a document distributed at the meeting, held at Wiley Middle School

The board approved a new, five-year contract for Gainer, for the period beginning August 2012 and ending July 2017.

Like all other employees in the district, they will not receive a cost-of-living increase for two years. Heuer makes $146,370 a year, and Gainer makes $140,992 a year.

The contract extensions were not discussed publicly at the meeting.

Look for more information from Tuesday's meeting today.
