Break-In Reported At Cedar Hill Salon: Police Blotter

The Cedar Fairmount business is one of four to report a break-in in from Aug. 2 to Aug. 5.

 

Cedar Hill Salon reported a break-in at 7:16 a.m. Aug. 5.

Cleveland Heights Police said that someone broke the glass door, damaged the register and stole about $110.

Three Cedar Lee businesses — The Stone Oven, The Rib Cage and Janea H — also reported break-ins the same week. Police are still investigating the incident.

Fire reported at Canterbury Elementary School

A concerned citizen called Cleveland Heights Police at 12:19 a.m. Aug. 7 and said there were "suspicious fires" at Canterbury Elementary School. The Cleveland Heights Fire Department extinguished the fire in a trash can.

Woman says she has chest pains after being arrested and charged with theft

Police responded to Walmart in Severance Town Center when the store reported that a woman had just stolen merchandise from the business. Instead of being taken to jail, the woman was sent to the emergency room — the 58-year-old Cleveland Heights resident said she had chest pains. Police charged her with theft.
