The State Fire Marshal is investigating.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating a Clarendon Road fire that started at 8 p.m. Oct. 2.

Cleveland Heights Fire Chief William Freeman said the blaze started on the third floor of a single-family home and took about 20 minutes to extinguish.

The residents of the single-family home were out of town during the time of the fire, Freeman said. The cause is still unknown, and no one was injured.

Freeman said the third floor is uninhabitable and all contents are damaged, and there is water and smoke damage on the second floor and smoke damage on the first floor.
