CH-UH School Board to Conduct Library Board Interviews Tonight
Members will interview people for two openings on the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Library Board of Trustees
The Cleveland Heights-University Heights School Board will interview candidates for the CH-UH Library Board of Trustees at 7 tonight at the Board of Education building.
There are two openings on the board. Board President Audrey Cole's term expires at the end of this year, and she announced she would resign. Cleveland Heights City Councilman Jason Stein left his position on the board in June when he was appointed to take over former Councilman Mark Tumeo's council seat.
The two new board members will be sworn in Jan. 23 at the Library Board of Trustees meeting, and the library will likely announce the school board's selection later this week or early next week, said Sheryl Banks, marketing and community relations manager for the libraries.
A nominating committee appointed by Cole will select the president, vice president and secretary, Banks said.
Look for information about the new library board members soon. The school board's regular meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 13.
