Citizen Call of Shots Fired Leads To 3 Arrests

Police arrested two teens accused of receiving stolen property and another who is wanted for robbery.

A concerned citizen called police at 5:16 p.m. Oct. 2 and reported hearing shots fired near the 700 block of Woodview Road.

Police responded, and one officer saw three teenagers running. The officer caught up with one of the boys near the 800 block of Lecona Drive. According to police, they recovered a handgun and several items taken from recent theft from car reports.

Two Cleveland Heights residents, who are 15 and 16 years old, were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property. Police also arrested an 18-year-old Cleveland Heights resident, Jermail Coleman, who is wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office for several charges, including aggravated robbery.
