The Cleveland Heights Earth Day 5K Run & Walk in Forest Hill Park is set for 6:45 p.m. April 18. The event helps raise money for the city's Youth Scholarship Fund.

Participants are welcome to register the day of, but pre-registration is strongly encouraged, and it's four bucks less. And the first 200 registered get a T-shirt.

The pre-registration deadline is Monday, April 16, and the fee is $14. Walkers and runners can either send a form to The City of Cleveland Heights Earth Day Run, 40 Severance Circle, Cleveland Heights, OH, 44118, or register online at hmapromotions.net. Checks should be made payable to HMA promotions.

The final mail-in registration deadline is April 18 and costs $18. Registration is also available the day of the event at 5:30 p.m. at Picnic Shelter 2A & 2B.
