Superintendent sends message to community
Superintendent Doug Heuer wrote a message to parents, students and community members in response to Friday's mass shooting at a Newtown, Ct. elementary school.
"Like everyone in this community and across the country, we are deeply saddened by the horrific news from Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut," he wrote.
"Since some parents have asked, please know that the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District is prepared for emergencies, and we continue to enhance our plans as more information and recommendations to create safe and secure schools become available."
