Five Cleveland Heights High School athletes announced where they’ll be playing next year at a signing day celebration Wednesday, May 30.
Their families sat on stage with them in the Heights High auditorium as they shared their college decisions.
“This is by far one of my favorite days to be an athletic director,” said Kristin Hughes.
She said as much as she enjoys going to games and watching students grow in high school, “our true success will always be judged on if we can get our kids to play at the next level.”
The following students made announcements at the event:
- Jasmine Harper, girl's basketball, University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown
- Kevin Clark, boy's basketball, Lakeland Community College
- Tyree Gaiter, boy's basketball, Notre Dame College
- Kojo Lockhart, boy's basketball, Cincinnati State Technical and Community College
- Raymond Doss, boy's basketball, Muskingum University
The following students also signed letters of intent but did not attend the event:
- Najeeb Johnson, basketball, University of Wisconsin, Platteville
- Aaron Tyson, soccer, University of Northwestern Ohio
