A student was walking in the cross walk on Cedar Road in front of Cleveland Heights High School when she was struck by a man driving a dark blue car around 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Marc Aden, principal of the R.E.A.L. school at Heights High, saw it happen, and he ran over to make sure the student was OK, said Angee Shaker, communications director for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District. The man who hit her got out of the car to check on her as well. Aden sent her to the nurse and went to talk to the driver, but the man took off once he saw she was fine.
The girl's father took her to the hospital. Shaker said they did not find any visible injuries, and she has heard that she was not hurt.
