Man Drives Car Into UDF, Flees

The crash caused damage to exterior walls, restrooms at the United Dairy Farmers on Lee Road

 

A man drove his car into the United Dairy Farmers on Lee Road, damaging the exterior brick wall and the restrooms inside, at 6:30 p.m. April 6. The suspect, a 25-year-old man from Cleveland Heights, then fled, police reported. Cleveland Heights Police later found the suspect at his home. He does not own the car or a valid driver's license, and was driving the car for a friend, he said. Police charged him with reckless operation of a motor vehicle, hit and run and driving without a license.

Shots Fired on Selwyn Road

A woman called police just after 1 a.m. April 7 and said she heard three shots fired in the area near the 800 block of Selwyn Road.

Cleveland Heights Police responded and found three 9 mm bullet casings in the street. Witnesses reported seeing a teen flee the area after the incident, but police did not find any suspects. No one was injured.

Coventry bar fight spills out into street

A bar fight that started at McNulty's Pub just before 2 a.m. April 9 left one man hospitalized, and police charged three men with disorderly conduct. The fight started in the bar and spilled out onto the Coventry Road sidewalk. One man punched a 24-year-old man from Cleveland Heights, who was bleeding from his injuries and had to be transported to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment. He and two others involved in the fight — a 33-year-old Cleveland Heights man and a 34-year-old Cleveland man — were charged with disorderly conduct.
