Neighbor Confronts Would-Be Robber

Cleveland Heights Police incidents Nov. 28 and 29

 

The Cleveland Heights Police Department supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

One woman arrested after fight

Wednesday, Nov. 28, 1:18 p.m. — Someone reported three women fighting near the 12800 block of Cedar Road. When police responded, they arrested one woman on an active arrest warrant.

Neighbor confronts would-be robber

Wednesday, Nov. 28, 6:22 p.m. — A resident called police after he said that he saw someone go into his neighbor’s garage and then back out of the home, carrying a lawn edger. The neighbor chased the suspect and he dropped the hardware and fled in a car.

Copper piping damaged in vacant home

Thursday, Nov. 29, 1:31 p.m. — A homeowner reported that they discovered forced entry to their vacant Belmar Road home and, though nothing was missing, noticed damage to their copper piping.
