Nominate the Best Mechanic in Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights and Beachwood
Let us know the best mechanic in Beachwood, Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights so we can put them to a vote and find out which is the Readers’ Choice 2012 winner.
Where can you find the best mechanic in these neighboring Patches?
Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who knows to nominate the best spots in the area.
We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.
All you need to do to nominate a business is to add it in the comments below. If you already see the business you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why it should be included, because we may not be able to add all businesses to our poll and we want to make sure the top ones make it.

Immodest though it may be, I'll nominate myself and my own shop, the Lusty Wrench, in business in the same Lee Rd. location for 33 years.
Our customers know what makes us Scene Magazine's (TM) Best, an Angie's List (TM) Super Service Award Winner for more than 10 years, and a 10th-year Anniversary "Champion of Sustainability" Award Winner from E4S. And, on the subject of immodesty, why I was named the Delmar/Cengage Learning ASE Technician of the Year for the top ASE Certification score in the entire country, beating out over 350,000 other Certified automotive Technicians.
But mostly they know this: we fix their cars right. And that's why over 85% of our business is from repeat customers, their families, and their friends. Thanks for your support. We do our best to earn it, every day. Check us out at www.lustywrench.com

Thanks for the suggestions! I think that's fine, Sam, and I'm sure you'll have a customer log on here soon enough and nominate you, too. I would if I could, and that goes for many Cleveland Heights businesses. Can't thank you enough for your help diagnosing that strange noise my car was making.

Mac's Marathon! Kenny and Scott are wonderful guys. They do great work, and have the best customer service, always take a minute to "just check under the hood". They are honest and straightforward about their work, what really needs to be done vs. what would be a good idea. And their prices are competitive. I've been a loyal customer for over 7 years.

I guess if Sam can nominate himself, I can nominate myself. I have been in business as Hollis Automotive since July of 1977 and many years before that. I started out at the Shell station at Cedar and Bellfield (it is now a bank) in the summer of 1949 or 1950 making $.10 an hour. We, too, try to do only what is necessary.

I nominate Lusty Wrench! My parents have gone to Sam since day one. When I got my first car- there was no other place I would take it to. I moved out of Cleveland for awile, and so took a break from Lusty Wrench. Now i'm back, and take my current car there for service when i need to. (though that's unfortunately few and far between because my car is only a few years old). I definitely trust my car to Sam!

Lusty Wrench is absolutely the #1 best. We've been Lusty Wrench/Sam Bell fans since its beginning. Sam is brilliant, extremely knowledgeable about all kinds of cars (old, new, foreign & domestic), totally honest, highly ethical, reliable, quick, and he always has a good story or two to tell. Don't be put off by the mess in his office! Appearances to the contrary, he's totally organized and knows where everything is. As an aside, he's totally committed to making Cleveland Heights the best, environmentally progressive community in NE Ohio. We love you, Sam!

Sam Bell at the Lusty Wrench without a doubt! Great diagnostics, understandable explanations, and wonderful preventive maintenance, not to mention reasonable prices! I have gone to other stations in the area, but Sam's is the best in my opinion.

Sam Bell at the Lusty Wrench is the best, hands down! No rip-offs, no poorly done work, no huge unexpected bills----just friendly, reliable, good automotive service.

Friendly, smart, solutions from Sustainable Sam at the Lusty Wrench! Straightforward explanations for customers with curiosity. High integrity, humor and storytelling quotient makes the necessary evil of car repair -- dare I say -- enjoyable? He's the Cleveland's answer to Car Talk.

Sam Bell, the Lusty Wrench. Just the best. Integrity, honesty, education about your car, sense of humor, positive attitude. Sam's been my only auto mechanic since 1984. I would go nowhere else!

Sam Bell hands down. I am disabled and he occasionally helps diagnose problems with my power chairs - going above and beyond our cars. 33 years in business, a good start.

I nominate Simon's Auto for best auto repair in Cleveland Heights. Simon was my mechanic before I married him. He took such good care of me, I had to make him mine!
