The Charles Stewart Parnell Pub will turn 15 on Feb. 1, and owner Declan Synnott has a challenge for his customers.

He's daring them to drink him out of glassware this Friday night.

Patrons who buy a brew will get to keep a commemorative glass acknowledging the Lee Road establishment's 15th birthday, and he hopes to give them all out that evening.

Synnott, 41, who moved from Ireland to the U.S. in 1994, is hosting the event along with Akron-based Thirsty Dog Brewing Company, which also marks its 15th anniversary this year.

The party at Parnell's Pub starts at 5 p.m. Friday.
