Police Arrest Man Who Left His ID Behind During Robbery

Cleveland Heights Police arrested the South Euclid man Sept. 18 and charged him with robbery.

Cleveland Heights Police have arrested the South Euclid man who left his ID behind after robbing a gas station Aug. 18.

Rodney L. Peterson, 25, was arrested Sept. 18 and charged with robbery.

He is accused of robbing the BP gas station on the corner of Warrensville and Mayfield, where he left his ID, and the United Dairy Farmers on the 1900 block of Lee Road.

During both crimes, police said Peterson broke a beer bottle, threatened the cashier with it and stole money from the register and a few packs of cigarettes.
