A 16-year-old boy from Cleveland Heights was arrested and charged with aggravated menacing Dec. 29 for threatening to shoot another 16-year-old boy in a message on Facebook.

Police arrested a 16-year-old boy from Cleveland Heights and an 18-year-old man from Cleveland after a fight broke out and a crowds were chaotic at the basketball game Dec. 30. The boy was charged with aggravated rioting, and the 18-year-old was charged with rioting. Man charged with holding ex-girlfriend at gunpoint

A woman called police Dec. 28 and said her ex-boyfriend was in her house and assaulted her. The 42-year-old man held her at gunpoint, took her cell phone and fled on foot from the house, police said. The arrested the suspect in Cleveland.

Shots fired on Nordway Road, caller reports

A caller told police that someone fired a gun from a grey car at 10 p.m. near the 3500 block of Nordway Road Jan. 1. Police found three .22 caliber casings in the road and are still investigating.

Police officer witnesses armed robbery, makes arrest

A Cleveland Heights lieutenant who was off-duty was driving by on Lee Road when he witnessed a teen holding up a man at the ATM Jan. 3. Police found a suspect, a 16-year-old Cleveland Heights resident, near the 3100 block of Kensington. Police found a fake gun on him, which the victim said he showed him. He is also a suspect in another robbery at the same location Jan. 2 at 8:21 p.m. A woman was taking out money from the ATM when a suspect told her to give him her money and showed her a gun. She refused and he ran away.

Sledding with a shopping cart

A concerned citizen called police around 5:56 p.m. Dec. 29 and said that a child was using a shopping cart as a sled on the  hill. Police spoke to a group of children and they left.
