Police Charge Teens With Robbery
A group of youth from Cleveland Heights and East Cleveland were arrested and charged with robbery.
A caller reported that she was robbed while walking near the 800 block of Lecona Road at 12:50 a.m. June 29. She told Cleveland Heights Police that she and her friends saw a car with the headlights off driving down the street. A man got out of the car with a gun and pointed it at the group, the victim said. He and others involved stole a cell phone.
Police later arrested four suspects — a 19-year-old man from East Cleveland, a 16-year-old boy from Cleveland Heights and a 15-year-old boy from Cleveland Heights. The fourth suspect's information was not available. Police did not find a gun on the suspects. Police said the teens were also possibly involved in a robbery in South Euclid before this incident.
Reports compiled from call logs and information from the Cleveland Heights Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate conviction.
