Pregnant Woman, Brother Attacked
Two sent to hospital after assault
The Cleveland Heights Police Department supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
A woman reported to police that three men attacked her and her brother as they were walking to a local convenience store.
The woman dialed 9-1-1 at 9:34 p.m. Jan. 29 and told dispatchers she was seven months pregnant and was lying on the sidewalk near Noble and Elbon Roads after the attack.
Her brother was nearby. When police arrived, the two told them that three men attacked them, hitting her in the stomach and head and her brother in the head. The men accused her brother, a minor, of attacking their relative.
She added that the three fled when a motorist stopped to help the victims.
