President Barack Obama will make a campaign stop in Mentor just three days before the election.
According to a campaign statement, the president will speak at a "grassroots event" somewhere in the city on Saturday. A campaign official said more details will be available soon.
The Mentor stop is part of a lengthy weekend tour. Obama will also speak at events in Dubuque, Iowa, Bristow, Va. and Milwaukee on Saturday. He will visit Concord, N.H., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Aurora, Colo. and Cincinnati on Sunday.
Obama planned to campaign in Akron on Wednesday, but canceled the event. According to whitehouse.gov, the President decided to remain in Washington D.C. to monitor Hurricane Sandy, and help coordinate the federal response and relief effort.

I dont care if Romney walks on water . The republicans are refusing to enforce a prescription drug database allowing the drug dealers on the streets to peddle their crap The reps are more interested in their wallets than the welfare of our kids . The reps are protecting BIG Pharma and the doctors . Ever wonder why gov scott of Florida and romney will not be seen together ?? They both would fight over which one is the bigger crook . They would have to answer questions that both would not do them justice . The reps are ashamed of gov scott , but his money bought him the job. Like a true republican. Its all about money and their wallets

You can always tell the republicans when they write . They often have no good answers and always seem to have to insult others for discussing facts about their party . I make time to discuss the prescription drug issue with everyone at voting time. Some closed minded people like j williams look the other way untill one day GOD FORBID its on their doorstep . Why do these types of people always have to insult others? I assume j williams you are very unhappy with your life and are trying to spread your hate . It will not work with me . I will pray you feel better and then maybe you can add some facts on this site so people can make an informed choice .

Mike is the reason behind Obamas visit to mentor to discuss prescription drugs....if not as Jean mentioned it is off topic ....you should find a prescription drug story and bring up there (you have 14 states between ohio and florida) and mike I do not see the insults in Jeans comment to cause you to go off on your hate rant ....you have failed and are now dismissed

Mike is right. Listen to Fox and/or Rush and the like. They do tend to spew hate. You can bring up any subject and they immediately become angry. And the party still reeks of prejudice. Probably the main reason they began plans after the last election to make sure the POTUS wasn't elected again. They should have been doing their jobs and working to make America better for us all. And the EARTH.

Obviously Obama has done very well especially considering what he got when he started (aka The Bush depression) and the recalcitrant republicans in blocking him at every step even to help the country out minimally (traitors).
End result is that we are not losing 500K jobs per month from the Bush 8 years, DOW, S&P & other indicies are up, housing is starting to form a bottom, Detroit is not bankrupt, Bin Laden is dead and all this with the republicans as truants! LOL Sore losers!
4 more years for Obama? Hell no. 40 more years for Obama!

Of course Obama is coming to Lake County - he doesn't do well in not urban areas and he needs suburban voters. Just remember Lake County: TARP II, Fast & Furious, Solyndra et al, No Jobs Plan, Terrible GNP growth, Selective Immigration Enforcement, Executive Orders to by past Constitution separation of powers, GSA Scandal; HHS Scandal; SS Scandal and the deception and incompetence of Obama's State Department in Libya. Obama's claim to fame - ramming a national healthcare down our throats that a majority of Americans didn't want. Four more years - not a chance - just look at the facts

Wake up America, the coverup in Libya is enough for EVERY American to take a look at our present commander and chief. It is not a democrat or republican situation. Four Americans were murdered and we were lied to. Get the facts, the ambassador asked for more security and did not receive it. The administration told the Seals to stand down and watched the live feed in real time. Then Obama left for Vegas and The View and allowed the lies ( blaming the offensive "Video") to be told by his administration. He even blamed the video for weeks. Go see him when he visits our town, but make sure to ask him what the heck happened to those Four Americans! And why the cover-up and misleading Americans ??? What happened to transparency, has he followed through on anything he promised...NO ! DEFEND AMERICA!!

Although I sympathize with individuals in Mentor who may be hurting, looks to me like Mentor has fared well under President Obama. We've had massive amounts of road work, new businesses opening, job opening signs are plentiful, our unemployment rate is well below national and Ohio, houses are selling. Now for those who can't afford health insurance or are uninsured, Obamacare would be a godsend. The Romneycare (aka Obamacare) in place in Massachusetts since 2006 has left Massachusetts General the #1 hospital in America, their other hospitals are topnotch, approx. 65% of residents kept their employers' insurance, 16% have Medicare, and 16% have selected health insurance from an assortment of private insurers offering plans. An affordable sliding scale of payments is in place. The fearmongering is wrong. Massachusetts is telling us loud and clear what they think of Romney, the man they once elected. He can't even take his home state.

Obama did what George Bush did.. he let thoes in charge do what they thought was best at the time. Fortune released its annual list of the country's 500 biggest companies this week, and it turns out to have been a good year for corporate America. In 2011, the Fortune 500 generated a combined $824.5 billion in earnings -- an all-time record, and a 16 percent jump from the previous year.
The report echos others indicating corporate America is experiencing boom times. U.S. corporate profits returned to pre-recession levels, according to the International Institute for Labour Studies released Friday, hitting 15 percent of gross domestic product.

Arron, NO president is responsible for the first three months of their presidency as far as jobs... there is no way ANY policy created can stop whatever happened from before.. if you take away those numbers, which OBAMA CLEARLY was NOT responsible for, it is EASY to see we have made OUTSTANDING progress in jobs. AND if the REPUBLICANS had not blocked EVERY JOBS BILL (it takes a lot of balls to insist Obama has made no jobs, but yet block every jobs bill for everyday projects that PREVIOUS TO THIS BUNCH OF Republicans was A NON POLITICAL and automatic passage bill), our unemployment would be under 5% !!! and that would be If we had even NORMAL hiring of public projects, roads, bridges, etc, even without taking into consideration any recession, however if there was co-0peration of Republicans and they did what any SANE congress would do and provied EXTRA funds, not just the normal ones, we would have been out of this a LONG time ago, and we wouldn't even be discussing it..Instead, It was ALL ABOUT MAKING AMERICA FAIL and putting Millions of Americans out of work in order to put one president out of a job. It is just shameful!!!

I don’t want Romney’s version of change including:
• A severely conservative Supreme Court.
• Tax and jobs plan that doesn’t make mathematical sense as most experts say.
• 1% percent control of the nation,
• Leader who says “corporations are people”, and puts the needs of corporations before the people.
• Higher taxes for middle class and lower taxes for the rich.
• Medicare taken bankrupt in 2016, as reports indicate,
• Overturn of Roe vs Wade and return women’s rights to the 1950s,
• Leader who condemns 47 percent of Americans,
• Leader with hot temper and controlling demeanor who seems eager to start a war against Iran.
I’m very pleased to stay with reliable, proven Obama-Biden who are taking America FORWARD -- not back to the Bush years!
