Recreation Rates And Nuisance Abatements: Council Quick Takes
Highlights from the Cleveland Heights City Council meeting Aug. 6.
Cleveland Heights City Council declared MYXX a nuisance at its most recent regular meeting Aug. 6.
We also reported that council members approved a resolution to apply for a grant in conjunction with Shaker Heights and the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency that would help finish the Lake to Lakes Trail, a plan to connect Lake Erie with the Shaker Lakes.
But members approved other legislation as well that Monday night. Here are a couple of highlights:
- Council amended the use regulations and rates for admission and other services for the Cleveland Heights Community Center and parks for the 2012-2013 fall/winter season. Councilwoman Bonita Caplan said the rates did not change drastically, just a few dollars here and there. For updated rates, check out the Parks & Recreation 2012-2013 Fall & Winter brochure.
- Council authorized abatement of two other nuisance properties at 1648 Hillcrest Road and 990 Woodview Road.
