Teen Arrested for Robbery at Church: Cleveland Heights Blotter

Cleveland Heights Police arrested a teen they believe robbed another at a local church.

The Cleveland Heights Police Department supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A teen was arrested two days after police say he robbed another teen of his phone at a Cleveland Heights church.

A teen male was playing basketball Nov. 28 in the parking lot of the Church of the Saviour on Lee Road when he said someone else hit him in the head from behind. The teen fell to the ground, and the assailant took an iPhone from the boy’s pocket.

The suspect ran north on Lee Road with two other teens, police say.

On Nov. 30, police stopped the suspect based on the victim’s physical description. Police said that they found the suspect had the phone in his pocket and said that he found it in the grass.

He was charged with robbery.
