Heights Arts opened its newly expanded space June 10 with a new exhibit, Building Below the Radar, which showcases the work of Cleveland-based architecture firms. 

One of the most recognizable projects was from the firm studioTECHNE, which redesigned the Lee Road Library, the main branch of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library. The firm also designed the installation in the gallery — boxes framing photos of work from the different architects hang from the ceiling. At night, the photos glow.

Other featured architects are Kordalski Architects, Inc. and Anthony Paskevich & Associates. 

As part of the exhibit, the organization is offering a free series of discussions called "Radar Reports." The first was a curator and architects roundtable June 14 — watch highlights from the discussion in the video above. The second is tonight at 7. Peggy Spaeth, executive director of the local arts organization, said she is looking forward to providing more opportunities to the community in the new space, which grew from 900 square feet to 2,400. 

She said so far, the organization has raised $60,000 for the expansion. Heights Arts will need another $15,000 to complete the first phase of the project, and $20,000 for the second phase.
