Who's YOUR Person of the Year?

We named seven great folks from Cleveland Heights for People of 2012, but we want to know: Who is YOUR person of the year?

Last week, we featured seven great folks who made a difference as Cleveland Heights' People of 2012.

But we want to know: who made a difference, big or small, in your own life? Did your neighbor bring you soup when you were sick? Did your mom get you that perfect Christmas present? Did your significant other help you through a rough time?

Take a moment and thank those who made a difference in your corner of the world this year. Tell us your Person of 2012 in the comments!

I like the idea of being your own best person - I may be my worst critic - although I have plenty of them out there. But if you aren't trying your best to be your best, then you are taking a time out from life. Cleveland Heights Patch recognized 7 good people but for this community to function at its best, then it takes 41+ thousand doing their best. We can't all be as devoted to the community as those 7 outstanding individuals but we can help our neighbor.
My choice for citizens of the year 2012 are the business owner on Lee Rd. from the Rockefeller's in the Rockefeller building to the Library. I am hoping my choice for citizen of the year 2013 is Doug Katz. He purchased those diners on Lee Rd, has a plan to bring 'em back to life. This will complement the energy to the businesses along Lee Rd. I wish the best for Zagara's, the BottleHouse, Cain Park Bicycle, Cedar-Lee Theatre, Anatolia Cafe etc. These business are critical for me enjoying my life. I expect Doug Katz's new business will enhance my Cain Park summer. I wish him and all the business owners a successful 2013.
