Our community is at great risk of losing the treasured historic Telling Mansion library in South Euclid.
The library is owned by the Cuyahoga County Public Library system.
The appointed executive director has decided to close the Telling Mansion library, and sell it. It's already listed for sale, in fact.
Then, with land they just bought on Green Road, near Notre Dame, they will open a new, sterile library.
I've uploaded a couple of e-mails showing that the citizens were *not* engaged in this decision. Quite the contrary, actually.
This link is to the petition calling for the CCPL Board Of Trustees to reverse this thoughtless decision. Please, sign it and leave a comment. And by all means, read the 600+ comments left by friends and neighbors around the world. They are heartfelt and very moving.

The Telling Mansion library is a jewel in our midst. Don't let some thoughtless bureaucrat take it away from us.
