The latest figures are in from the developers (think "Lipstick On A Pig"). The pdf is attached to this article.
The 5 parcels, with a total cost to prepare for sale exceeding $1.1 MILLION, about $600,000 of that directly from CH taxpayers, will be sold to the developers for $125,000.
The land has not been appraised as a whole.
And the developers still expect the $3+ MILLION in tax abatements.
Our city council is failing in their fiduciary responsibilities as trustees of our assets. And demonstrating an alarming lack of any common sense.
Please, help me stop this travesty. Contact all 7 council members, and all 5 BOE members, and tell them this nonsense is not what you want for your community.

This Lee-Meadowbrook thing just gets worse and worse...

Why is it that the sheeple remain so silent on this taxpayer ripoff? Do they support the project despite the half empty storefronts along Lee Road? Or is it that the population of CH has turned so rental with no vested interest in the city or schools? This city is in a death spiral if the status quo continues.

The mayor and council do not seek community input.
In my case, they rejected my analysis, thoughts and concerns. But if you look at the newest document, the developers changed a lot of their numbers. And even removed entirely that BS $42 MILLION of "CH Benefits".
It doesn't have to be this way, if enough of us speak up. And they're not used to *any* of us speaking up, so it seems to me like they panic when faced with any amount of thoughtful opposition.
We need your help, man!
