You are absolutely right, Garry. One wonders why the formerly engaged citizenry has turned into the zombie sheeple in the last decade. Do you think that the undeniable decline in the city and public schools would be tolerated in say Beachwood? I would safely say no. All one needs to know about this city nowadays is look into all the living rooms after 5 pm when it turns dark and without fail you will see the big screen tv on, sedating the masses with "Dancing with the Stars" and the like. This can be tolerated in Solon where there is enough tax dollars, but in a city like ours, it just leads to further decline, and unfortunately, the way I see it, the East Clevelandization of this once proud suburb.

Yes, they are letting us down, but they can afford to as there is no organized opposition. In this leadership vacuum at best you will get mediocrity and at worst disasters like Oakwood/Walmart or the ill conceived school rebuilding plan where the "yes" people get all the input.
