  marred by personal tragedy\, triumphs and immense pain.  Raised by his 
 heroin-addicted father\, he began selling pot at a young  age\, a trade 
 he acquired from his mother. In an attempt to clean up his  act\, Mickey
  converted to Orthodox Judaism in his late teens\, an effort  that didn&
 rsquo\;t last due to constant family tragedy\, such as his father&rsquo\
 ;s  death in a tragic drunk driving accident. He also lost his sister at
  a  young age to a heroin overdose.\nAvalon decided to clean up and head
 ed to LA where he became friends  with Dirt Nasty\, who encouraged him t
 o pursue a career in hip-hop. The  two collaborated on a few tracks and 
 Dirt Nasty spread Avalon&rsquo\;s mixtape  around the LA nightclub scene
 . Avalon&rsquo\;s popularity grew as clubs wanted  to host his legendary
  live show. In 2005\, Interscope Records took notice  and signed Avalon.
  Avalon released a self-titled album that honed in on  his experiences o
 n the streets\, including drug use and prostitution\,  drawing in audien
 ces with his raw honesty. Avalon has toured and  performed sold-out show
 s with Red Hot Chili Peppers\, Travis Barker and  DJ AM\, Snoop Dogg\, S
 tephen Marley and Slightly Stoopid.\nMickey&rsquo\;s contagious demeanor
  and unique writing style have made him a  hot commodity in the music in
 dustry. He shows diversity as he slips  from electro-synth to classic hi
 p hop beats. His sophomore album Loaded\,  which drops on April 24th\, c
 elebrates the hedonistic glory  of rock &lsquo\;n roll\, appealing to ou
