Loving Hands Yoga and Reiki, in coordination with Family Connections, is offering a class designed to help post-natal mommies with fitness and relaxation, and also to provide bonding time with the kids.  The class is open to mommies and kids age newborn to age 3.

We work with gentle strengthening exercises to help tone mommy's body, increase abdominal and back strength, and increase stamina.  We also work with relaxation exercises to help calm mommy's mind during this wonderful but demanding time. 

Babies are included in all the poses, and toddlers are encouraged to try the poses themselves and help with baby.  Toys are available for toddlers who prefer to play instead.

The class is organic and flexible, realizing that mommies may have to leave a pose momentarily to kiss a boo-boo, wipe a runny nose, or re-direct a crawling baby.  But it's a great way to get healthy, bond with the kids, and meet other moms!

The class is held on Tuesdays from 10:30-11:15 am at Family Connections in Coventry school.  The current session runs from January 17 through March 6 (no class on February 14).  The cost is $72 per family for the session.  If you join after the session starts, you only need to pay for the remaining classes.
