The Greater Cleveland Neighborhood Centers Association: Six Degrees 2012
The Greater Cleveland Neighborhood Centers Association (NCA) will present its annual fundraiser at Brandt Evans’ newest restaurant, Pura Vida, on Public Square, on Wednesday evening, June 20, 2012, according to Event Chairs Goldie Alvis and Theresa C. Bishop. Honorary Chairs are Ruth A. Addison, Paul Clark, vic gelb and Richard W. Pogue.
“Cleveland’s Indoor Block Party will feature Pura Vida’s upscale block party cuisine, jazz by the J. T. Lynch Trio, a yard sale (silent auction), ShutterBooth photos, dancing, games, and an opportunity to win four nights in Nighttown owner Brendan Ring’s Manhattan apartment on historic Pomander Walk,” said Terry Bishop.
One lucky attendee will win the Grand Raffle prize: Twelve tickets to a Cleveland Indians game in a Progressive Field loge, including four parking passes, sandwich and hot dog trays, dessert cart and beverages, including beer and wine (value: $4,000+). Tickets are $25 each or five for $100 and must be purchased at the event.
“The Greater Cleveland Neighborhood Centers Association offers management support to 13 neighborhood centers,” said Allison Wallace, NCA’s Executive Director. “We are all in the business of ensuring services for pre-school, school age, unemployed, families, mentally disadvantaged and seniors. We help our neighborhoods thrive.”
Join Mistress of Ceremonies Loree Vick and auctioneer Bob Hale as NCA honors the Eaton Corporation and Third Federal Savings & Loan and recognizes outstanding young persons who have made special contributions to their neighborhoods.

Individual tickets are $150, including open bar and valet parking. Patron ticket buyers ($250 and $500) as well as corporate sponsors have the option of working alongside the Pura Vida staff as a “neighborhood chef” – complete with souvenir apron
The Greater Cleveland Neighborhood Centers Association (NCA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 1963 as the first metropolitan-wide organization in the United States created to help plan and coordinate the work of neighborhood centers.
