Cumberland Pool Water Show Rescheduled for Today

A lightning storm forced organizers to move the show from Tuesday to Wednesday

is hosting its annual Water Show from 8:30 to 10 tonight.

The show was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but the event was postponed due the storms that rolled in just before the event.

The theme of this year’s event is “Around the World,” and routines will be set to music from a variety of countries, said Chris Kendel, assistant commissioner of Parks and Recreation for Cleveland Heights.

The show, which features synchronized swimmers and divers who have been practicing routines all summer, is free, and participants range in age from about 5 to 15 years old, he said.

 The 84-year-old pool has hosted the event for several years.

“It’s a long-standing tradition,” Kendel said.
