Memorial Day is the time to recall the scarifies of the gallant men and women of all the wars in which our country has been engaged.
The ceremony will start at 10:30 a.m. with a parade by the Garfield Monument and will continue with a traditional veteran’s program on the lawn in front of the President James A. Garfield Monument. This includes the placing of wreaths at the monument from various veteran groups. Our keynote speaker is Brigadier General Patricia B. Genung, United States Army, Retired. The program will include the Memorial Day Band Concert presented by the Cleveland Letter Carrier’s Band, a band noted for a century of musical entertainment. The public is invited to bring a picnic lunch and lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the Memorial Day services.
