Not planning a big trip this summer? Patch found five great places to visit right in Cleveland Heights

Planning to stick around this summer? There is plenty to do right here in Cleveland Heights. Check out our five suggestions that won't leave you singing, "Are we there yet?"

Cain Park has concerts, the musical Dreamgirls, performances from GroundWorks Dance Theater, an arts festival, and much more planned for the summer. The park also has bicycle and jogging paths, tennis and basketball courts, a wading pool, playground, skate park and picnic areas.

Enjoy a refreshing swim at Cleveland Heights’ outdoor swimming pool. The park also features two full-court basketball courts.

Learn to skate, sharpen your skills or get a break from the summer heat.  The Cleveland Heights Community Center offers skating lessons after school, in the evenings and on weekends. For more advanced skaters, there are a number of youth and adult ice hockey leagues offered throughout the year.

Fine dining establishments, a movie theater and a gallery featuring local artists are just some of the entertainment venues at Shaker Square.  Come hear live music on the weekends or shop at the North Union Farmers Market on Saturdays.
