Photos: Second Annual Cleveland Run For The Fallen

Small group gathers at Shaker Lakes to remember those who have served our country

The second annual Cleveland Run For The Fallen kicked off at Shaker Lakes at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Army veterans Dirk Barnes, Doug Barnes, Kyle Beattie and his wife, Samantha Beattie, participated in a 5K run around the lake. Beattie and his wife are from Cleveland Heights, but the Barnes brothers drove from Holmes County to participate in the run.

Beattie served in Iraq and has been working with the Barnes brothers to promote runs in the Cleveland area for the organization. The run is to honor those who have died fighting in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
