Cleveland Heights officially became a city in 1921. Cleveland Heights Patch is by compiling 90 photos to create an album of the city's past and present. We'll run the feature for 90 days, one photo at a time.

One of the most popular events of the year for Cleveland Heights is the .

For more than 30 years, the Cain Park Arts Festival has from around the country. This year, the festival featured more than 150 from California, Illinois, New Mexico, Vermont and Georgia, to name a few. And a few hailed from the Heights.

The competition is tough — 300 or 400 artists applied this year, said Susanna Niermann O’Neil, community services director for the city. And in years past, 700 or so have eyed a booth on a path.
