Pet Show at the Heights Library

Come see area children as they show off their pets at Cleveland Heights-University Heights Libraries Lee Road Branch. The event was inspired by the book Pet Show! by Extra Jack Keats and is made possible thanks to a $500 grant award from the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation.

There will be upwards of 40 pets, including cats, dogs, hamsters, ferrets -- almost any animal that constitutes a household pet. Some of the pets will perform and others will simply be “on display.” And all pets will be encouraged to work the "cat" walk by showing their talent: barking, howling, meowing, skritching, scurrying and hissing.

Each child pet owner will receive a copy of Pet Show! Each animal who participates will also receive an award.
