Why Go: If you grew up in the '80s, this was your Citizen Kane. Follow Mikey, Clark “Mouth” Devereaux, Richard “Data” Wang, Lawrence “Chunk” Cohen and the other Goonies as they search for the lost treasure of “One-Eyed” Willy to save their town from being turned into a golf course.

HIGH NOON HAIKU
Where/When: / 7 p.m. Friday
Why Go: Bring your best 17-syllable Haiku and let the audience decide who wins. The winner competes against 2009 defending champion Kathleen Cerveny for the right to be named Haiku champion. Proceeds go to the American Red Cross Japanese relief effort.

12th ANNUAL UKRAINIAN FESTIVAL
Where/When: St. Pokrova Ukrainian Catholic Church, Parma/ Friday 6 to 11 p.m., Saturday 2 p.m. to midnight and Sunday noon to 11 p.m.
Why Go: Ukrainian Festival kicks off the summer festival series final push with live folk music, stuffed cabbage rolls, kielbasa, potato pancakes and everything you’ve grown to love.

BAT NIGHT AT
Where/When: / 8 p.m. Friday
Why Go: Tim Krynak of the Cleveland MetroParks will talk about the various types of bats in the area and set up nets to catch them. Registration is required by calling (216) 421-2687.
