Why Go: The area’s best musicians will be on hand for the kickoff party for the grand reopening, . The new playroom, one of the new editions at the library, will be on full display.
THE ROOM AT CEDAR LEE THEATRE

Why Go: As it does one Saturday each month, Cedar Lee will show The Room, a 2003 film described by most critics and fans alike as hilariously awful. The movie has developed a cult following over the years because of its ridiculous dialogue, intimate scenes, characters and storyline. Be prepared to quote the entire show (yes, out loud) and throw plastic spoons at the screen. It's not rude — it's expected.
BLACK BASEBALL FILM FESTIVAL
Where/When: Cleveland Public Library Main Branch/ Saturday, noon
Why Go: The main branch of the Cleveland Public Library will show three films, Before You Can Say Jackie Robinson, Pastime and Only the Ball was White, which detail the role African-Americans played in baseball. The films include footage of and commentary by prominent Cleveland Indians players, including Satchel Paige and .
Where/When: East 55th Street and Broadway Avenue/ Saturday, 2 to 7 p.m.
Why Go: The street will be blocked off to traffic as skateboarders from all over the region will meet to play SKATE, which is similar to the basketball game HORSE, only with each player doing tricks on his or her skateboard that others have to copy. Proceeds go to the Broadway Public Skatepark Project.
