Why Go: This 11-piece jazz ensemble will perform at Nighttown. Led by Bobby Selvaggio, a native Clevelander, Selvaggio earned his master’s in jazz performance from Manhattan School of Music and has played such prestigious jazz venues as Birdland and Vanguard while living in New York City.

Why Go: Cleveland Orchestra flutist Marisela Sager and jazz trombonist Paul Ferguson perform Latin American, Sephardic and popular music to celebrate the gallery’s first use as a performance space.

33RD ANNUAL YIDDISH CONCERT FEATURING SISTERS OF SHEYNVILLE
Where/When: / Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Featuring Canadian all-female sextet Sisters of Sheynville with pre-concert entertainment provided by the Workmen’s Circle Klezmer Orchestra.

Where/When: Coventry, first fair Sunday, second fair July 24, noon to 6 p.m.
Why Go: More than 100 vendors that include artists, people selling locally grown fruits and veggies and more will line Coventry Sunday. Free music, comedy and dance performances are scheduled throughout the day. Magicians, jugglers and other street performers will also provide entertainment.

SNL’S JAY PHAROAH AT HILARITIES
Where/When: Hilarities 4th Street Theater/ Thursday at 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 7:15 and 10:30 p.m. and Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Jay Pharoah, who has become a rising Saturday Night Live star because of his impressions of Eddie Murphy, Will Smith and Denzel Washington, will perform six shows tonight through Sunday.

BEACHWOOD HIGH SCHOOL’S OWN CHLOE HERNANE PERFORMS AT THE GROG SHOP
Where/When: / Sunday at 7 p.m.
Why Go: Chloe Hernane, who graduated earlier this month from Beachwood High School, will sing with rapper Lil’ Marv in her second live performance there and the last before she goes to The Ohio State University in the fall. Uptowne Buddha, another local hip hop group, will also perform.
