Heights Arts Director Peggy Spaeth Wins Cleveland Arts Prize

Spaeth will receive the Martha Joseph Prize, which is given to individuals or organizations who have contributed to the arts in Northeast Ohio

Heights Arts Director Peggy Spaeth has accomplished so much during the last 13 years.

She has been executive director of the organization since it was founded in 2000.

Heights Arts President Sharon Grossman previously described it as "13 years of fine art, the written word, public art, poet laureates, signs, benches, openings, murals, street concerts, home concerts, fund raisers, fun raisers, collaborations and installations."

More specifically, Spaeth has won the Martha Joseph Prize, which is given to individuals or organizations who have contributed to the arts in Northeast Ohio.

She will be joined by an impressive roster of artists, collectors, philanthropists and more at the 53rd annual Cleveland Arts Prize awards event in June.

Spaeth recently announced that she would be stepping down from her position as executive director so she could explor other projects. (She stressed that it is not a retirement.)

Additionally, Cleveland Heights City Council recently honored Spaeth for all of her work in the community.
