Heights Libraries, Wine Spot To Host Pairing of Wine and History Thursday
The evening will include lectures about a Cleveland Heights winery that existed in the 1800s and Northern Ohio's wine history.
The Lee Road Library and The Wine Spot are hosting an event this Thursday, Sept. 27, that pairs wine and history.
Two speakers will talk about the history of wineries in Northern Ohio and one that existed in Cleveland Heights during the 1800s.
Kara Hamley O'Donnell, Cleveland Heights city planner, will share the history of the city's J.P. Preyer's Lake View Wine Farm, and Cleveland-based author Claudia Taller will discuss Northern Ohio's wine history and the wineries that are along Lake Erie today. Copies of her book, Ohio's Lake Erie Wineries, will be available.

After the lecture, which begins at 7 p.m. in the Broady/Nelson Meeting Room, people can head over to The Wine Spot for an optional wine tasting for $10.
