The fifth store in the local Best Gyros chain has opened on Lee Road, in the pie-shaped storefront at the corner of Lee and Meadowbrook roads. And on Friday and Saturday nights, they stay open to the almost rooster-crowing hour of 4 a.m.
Specializing in gyro sandwiches of all kinds, such as the Bacon and Cheese Gyro and the Cajun Gyro, the Best Gyros outfit also has other temptations on its docket.

For French fry lovers there are eight different versions, including sweet potato fries and jalapeno cheddar fries. They also offer corned beef sandwiches, half-pound burgers, wraps and salads.
The open airy feel of the space remains, with floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides and ample seating for patrons — including a circular booth in the back that can accommodate groups of seven adults or maybe 15 teenagers.

In addition, there are umbrella-topped tables outside for people who like to people watch while they’re munching.
