Italian food with all the right moods

If you’re a fan of mellow and comfy lounge areas, you may want to hope that your table isn’t ready quite yet when you visit in Little Italy.

The dark wood and stone fireplace make the bar area of this top-flight restaurant a place you may leave only reluctantly. But please do, because many culinary treasures await in the dining room.

Executive chef Michael Annadono is a master of genuine Italian fare, and his menu offers an array of feasting pleasures.

For starters, there’s the Kobe beef carpaccio sliced thin with porcini mushrooms and white truffle oil.

Among the entrees, the veal cannelloni provides a ricotta-and-veal-stuffed pasta tubes, pancetta, fresh mozzarella and spicy tomato sauce. And the Anatra is a roasted breast of Muscovy duck, sage, blueberry, faro and a Grand Marnier reduction.

If you can find room, the elegant dessert list includes a panna cotta featuring baked Italian cream, organic berries and warm balsamic vinegar.
