Reader Reaction to Sarava, Sergio's Closing

Find out what your neighbors are saying about the restaurants closing.

It was announced Monday that both Sergio's and Sarava restaurants went out of business.

Sergio's, on University Circle, and Sarava, on Shaker Square, managed to stay in business even after the death of owner and head chef Sergio Abramof, Cleveland Scene reported.

But now that they've closed, some of Cleveland Heights Patch readers have shared their thoughts.

Catherine Sawyer said: I still can't believe that Sergio is gone...who else could ever take his place?

Garry Kanter said: I graduated from Heights High with Sergio. I knew of him, but we were not friends. He was a class leader, and an outstanding student. You all know of his unsurpassed reputation in the community. This is a very sad end to a very compelling life.
