Trying to decide where to share a meal with your sweetie this Valentine’s Day? There are many romantic restaurant options right here in Cleveland Heights.

Instead of venturing outside of the city, (especially if it snows,) consider dining at one of these local eateries.

Rockefeller’s celebrates a big anniversary this Valentine’s Day — a year ago Feb. 14, . The restaurant is housed in an old bank in the historic on Mayfield and Lee. Owner Michael Adams prioritized preserving the original features — the prep room is in the bank vault and the fireplace keeps the spacious room cozy. Snuggle up on one of the couches in the lounge or dine at a table and enjoy a variety of menu options including barley risotto with root vegetables and aged gouda or the pork chop that includes bacon braised greens and roasted apples.

Never learned how to play an instrument? Then allow someone else to serenade your sweetie. Hot Club of Detroit with special guest Zach Brock will entertain folks as they eat at Nighttown starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Enjoy one of the main courses like grilled hanger steak with creamed spinach, horseradish-whipped potatoes or Chesapeake Crabcakes while listening to music from the professionals. (Admission is $20). 

What’s more romantic than sharing Italian food? (Think Lady and the Tramp spaghetti scene.) Marotta’s on Lee Road features specialty pizzas like the molto marotta, topped with pesto, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, spinach and mozzarella. The cozy atmosphere and warm food make this a perfect Valentine’s Day destination.

Looking for a place to grab a drink after your romantic meal? Sip on a glass of wine by candlelight at La Cave. If wine isn't your thing, check out the refrigerator stocked full of craft brews that customers can browse and select themselves. And if you’re still hungry, you can always order one of their cheese and fruit plates or the antipasti platter.
