In our last post we discussed the top 6 remodeling projects that give you the most return value when selling your home.  Of the top 6 items 4 of them were exterior projects, the two indoor projects are:

Attic Bedroom:  Cost = $50,148; Resale Value = $36,346; Cost Recouped = 72.5%

Minor Kitchen Remodel: Cost = $19,588; Resale Value = $14,120; Cost
Recouped = 72.1%

Additionally to round out the top 10 list:

Basement Remodel: Cost = $63,378; Resale Value = $42,338; Cost
Recouped = 66.8%

Two-Story Addition: Cost = $165,795; Resale Value = $103,301; Cost
Recouped = 62.4%

Bathroom Remodel: Cost = $16,552; Resale Value = $10,293; Cost
Recouped = 62.2%

Family Room Addition: Cost = $83,118; Resale Value = $50,004; Cost
Recouped = 60.2%

This survey was the result of more than 3,000 Realtors responding, well this is a national average survey the results are fairly typical for our market in the Greater Cleveland area.
