5 Things You Need to Know About Cleveland Heights This Week

Memorial Day events, Safety Town registration and Landlord Training Program

  1. is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the lower level of Cleveland Heights City Hall. The program, which costs $25, is open to children who are attending kindergarten in the fall and who live in Cleveland Heights or University Heights.
  2. The Cleveland Heights Memorial Day Ceremony starts at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 30 at Veterans Memorial in Cumberland Park. Cleveland Heights City Hall and the Community Center will be closed.
  3. The Cleveland Heights Police Department and Relocation Services are offering a free Landlord Training Program from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday at the Police Academy on Noble Road to discuss landlord and tenant law. Registration is required. Call Relocation Services at 216-291-5959 if interested and for more details.
  4. South Euclid City Council is hosting a that falls within its city from residential to commercial. First Interstate purchased the land in South Euclid, and is in the process of trying to buy about 90 acres in Cleveland Heights.  
  5. Lake View Cemetery on Monday, May 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in front of the . The program will include a keynote speaker and a concert by the Cleveland Letter Carrier’s Band.
