Five More Things You Need to Know This Week

With so many events happening in Cleveland Heights this week, one Five Things article just wasn't enough

There is so much going on in and nearby Cleveland Heights this week that we decided to run . See what else you should know about the Heights this week.

1. and Magnificat High School to benefit Susan G. Komen For the Cure at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Ignatius High School, 1911 W. 30th St., Cleveland. Admission is $5. 

2. The City of Cleveland Heights and the Home Repair Resource Center are sponsoring a  from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Residents can stop by one of the 60-minute workshops, schedule a 45-minute consultation with an architect (if they still have spots open) and visit the "advice table" for all questions about remodeling.

3. and others from around Northeast Ohio are being recognized and honored at the Stop the Hate, Youth Speaks Out! essay contest awards ceremony sponsored by Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage. The students will have the opportunity to win cash prizes and scholarships for their work. The ceremony is at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Severance Hall Reinberger Chamber Hall. 

4. The guest speaker at the League of Women Voters' next speaker series event is Evalyn Gates, executive director and CEO of the Cleveland Museum of National History.  will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Commons in Trinity Cathedral, 2230 Euclid Ave., Cleveland.

5. The Cleveland Heights Police Department holds an open forum and chats with residents at the every Thursday at 6 p.m. in the City Hall cafeteria.
